Parking Lot Surveillance

A constant, recurring need by our customer base is to find an effective way to provide video surveillance in large exterior parking areas.

The problems are easily defined: vast square footage, distance issues, power and wiring limitations, lighting constraints, and the inability to capture adequate detail. Any one of these issues may be what separates you from a successful solution deployment. Unfortunately, these issues are not going away, yet enhancements in technology are helping overcome some of them.

Traditional Choices:

• Low light exterior analog fixed cameras
• Pan Tilt Zoom (PTZ) analog cameras
• Both feeding back to a recording solution via coax or twisted pair wiring.

Gorham Community Center Focuses on Audio Visual

The Gorham Community Center in Gorham, Maine is an impressive example of Advance Technology's Audio Visual integration capability. Designed by CCR Pyramid, this facility showcases numerous AV technologies used to facilitate broadcast of City Council meetings and Public Access programming. Using ceiling mounted cameras, producers can record and broadcast council functions simultaneously. Recorded content is archived with Hard Disk technology allowing future broadcast as part of scheduled programming.

Council members each have LCD monitors featuring content captured with adjustable color cameras placed to allow full coverage of the council chamber, members and the audience. These same LCD monitors can be used to view documents and programming provided by presenters along with information available on the internet.
